Better Luck Next Time But Don’t Abandon Parliamentary Work- Speaker To Defeated Mps

Speaker of Parliament, Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye is asking MPs who lost their primaries not to lose hope while wishing them better luck next time.

He urged them not  to abandoned their duties in parliament but rather use it as an opportunity to make a mark in the history of Ghana’s democracy under the 4th  Republic.

This is the first time the speaker is meeting MPs after last weekend’s primary that saw more than 40 sitting MPs lose their seat.

He sais several opportunities exist even outside parliament for memebers to serve theirbation and urged them to do so.

“I will say let us attend to the business of the House in all seriousness so that if fortunes smile on your party, some of us can still continue to play impact roles in building this nation, Ghana,” he said.

Speaker Mike Ocquaye congratulated those wgo will be joining them in the house asking both winners and losers to calm their followers down.
