Ghana’s Covid-19 Killing More Men

With the total number of Coronavirus deaths going up to 66 in Ghana, the statistics however shows the virus is killing more men than women.

Out of the 8 new deaths recorded as of June 17, 5 out of the 8 are men, with ages 69, 33, 33, 64 and 33 respectively.

6 out of the 8 new deaths were recorded from the Ashanti region with 5 of them ranging between the ages of 30 and 39.

Statistics by the Ghana health service indicates the infection rate of men is 61.01% i.e about 7,681 cases and women 38.99% i.e about 4,908 cases recorded.

Ghana’s current case count currently stands at 12,590 with 8,114 active cases, 4,410 recoveries, 66 deaths.
